Project Summary:

The main goal of this project is to put the lecture component of EME 2040 completely online. EME 2040, or Introduction to Educational Technology, is a course that was designed to meet the needs of future professionals in applying technology within educational settings. As a result of this course, students are able to demonstrate a sound understanding of technology operations and concepts; apply technology effectively to learning environments; explain methods and strategies for applying technology to maximize student learning; apply technology to a variety of assessment and evaluation strategies; use technology to enhance professional productivity and develop an understanding of the social, ethical, legal, and human issues surrounding the use of technology in education. CITT will work with Meredith DiPietro to develop 5 Flash movies that will serve as resources for the course.

Delivery of Content:

Content to be delivered to the CITT staff in the following formats:

Documents and text for website are to be delivered in electronic format; doc, wpd, txt, rtf, pdf.

Graphics, photographs are to be delivered in jpg, gif, psd, eps, tif, png or in hard copy to be scanned. Photographs should be in jpg format. Files should be in the highest quality possible for CITT to optimize for web delivery.

Video can be delivered in analog or digital format. However, analog videos will take longer to process and capture.

Review of Materials:

Preliminary designs and progressive changes will be posted to the CITT Team Exchange web site for review and suggestions. Correspondence during the development process will be primarily by email, phone and meetings.
